On Saturday 3 March, St Kilda’s Catani Gardens will host the Melbourne Beer Festival. In today’s blog, C&G share the highlights of the festival, so you can be sure you’re soaking up all the best bits.

The Beer Festival

Melbourne Beer Fest is your chance to sample some of the best local beers and ciders brewed around the state and the country. Vienna Lager by Burnley Brewing, Southern Bay Brew by Baggy Green and the Lychee-Infused Beer by Soleil are some of the best local tastes, so be sure visit them on the day. From elsewhere in Australia, The Gatherer by Stone & Wood, Vale Ale by Vale Brewing and Yenda Crisp Lager by Yenda Beer will certainly tingle your taste buds. The Food

What’s a good beer without a tasty feed on the side? The festival will have plenty of tasty food from your favourite trucks and other local producers, and experts on hand to pair your eats with your beer choices.

Masterclasses

Learn a thing or two between beers with the exclusive masterclasses on offer throughout the day. Learn more about home brewing, food and beer matching, live brew demonstrations, and industry experiences from beer experts.

The Comedy Tent

A beer or two down and ready to laugh your socks off? Fear not – the comedy tent will be rolling out the funnies across two sessions at 2.30pm and 4.00pm. Hosted by Stewart Bell, get ready to howl from the comedy likes of Charlie Pickering, Bob Franklin, Dilruk Jayasinha, Geraldine Hickey, Brett Blake and Brent Watkinson.

The Music

Kick back and enjoy sweet tunes from the varied line up at the festival. Currently announced acts include Naomi Campbell, Jordan Bakker, Aaron Pollock, Ash Grunwald, Indian Summer, Kid Kenobi, and The Potbelleez, with more to come as we approach the big weekend.
