The Social Kitchen Cooking School

Get social! The Social Kitchen’s cooking classes at the Queen Victoria Market are designed for those foodies amongst us who’d like to improve upon their already-robust culinary skills. The Social Kitchen conducts two types of classes that are both led by professional chefs: the Market Day Class and the Social Kitchen Masterclass.

The Market Day Class is a two and a half hour course that dives deep into the processes involved in preparing a complex meal. This class provides a social learning environment which encourages your experimentation with various taste combinations. If you choose to book the daytime class rather than the evening workshop, a trip to the market to learn about the origins of quality ingredients and key traders will be included.

For the more enthusiastic gourmand, the Masterclass offers you a chance to work alongside an industry legend - honing those kitchen skills in a four-hour course, preparing and executing a three-course meal.
