CG: The Chisholm and Gamon Guide to New Years Eve

Local Community

10! 9! 8! … The countdown to New Years Eve is on, and with it, the rush to find an appropriate way to ring in 2015. With all the hubbub of Christmas, it’s very easy to forget to plan how you’ll end 2014 – so Chisholm and Gamon has rustled up some ideas for you! 3! 2! 1!

St Kilda is one of the most popular places in Melbourne to ring in the New Year. It offers a huge variety of celebrations, and the foreshore is one of the best spots to take in the city fireworks. So what’s on this year?

Paint the town red at Riva NYE 2014 Belvedere Red Party!  Hosted by Rob ‘Millsy’ Mills and Dan Antsy, the night will be one to remember. You’ll be in prime position to watch the fireworks dance along the bay at midnight.

Perhaps you’re feeling the call to greet 2015 in the most St Kilda way possible – at the St Kilda Sea Baths NYE event. Festivities and performances will take place across three locations: Captain Baxter, Encore and the Sea Baths Rooftop. Enjoy all the food and cocktails you love from Captain Baxter and Encore, and ‘sneak’ a bit of Sneaky Sound System into the dying hours of 2014.

Feeling a bit more glamorous? New Years Eve is for shining bright, after all. Head along to The Exchange in Port Melbourne for NYE with the Stars. Dress as your favourite celebrity, and enjoy an all-inclusive offer of canapés, cocktails, beer, wine and spirits.

Sandringham way? Say no more! Start 2015 with a bang – or, more precisely, with dinner and a show at the Sandringham Hotel. Living further down the peninsula? New Year’s Eve is an affair for the whole family to enjoy at Josephine’s Restaurant in Mt Martha. Enjoy the jumping castle, live music and good family-friendly fun.
