Christmas Wonderlands: Bayside in Lights

Local Community

Sparkly Santas with life-size reindeer fleets. Enormous snowy polar bears, on roofs dripping with dazzling icicles. Lawns littered with cheeky elves driving star-encrusted trains! Christmas is just around the corner, and families all over Bayside are getting into the spirit with some of Melbourne’s best Christmas light displays. Are you ready to take a joyride with C&G, and discover some of the best lights Southside? Let’s go.

According to Jason Spencer of Homely.com.au, Frankston has some great hot spots. Number 8 The Spur (Frankston South), The Concourse (Frankston North) and 1 Lulworth Place (Frankston) never fail to disappoint! For residents near C&G’s Mt Martha office, number 6 Tennis Court in Mornington is also worth the trip.

The Herald Sun has earmarked Bayside ‘burb Beaumaris as a real winner this season. Be sure to check out the year-on-year extravaganzas at 151 Dalgetty Rd and 65 Haldane St!

For residents of the Black Rock area, there are some great local efforts in Sandringham, with 13 Brighton Street and 12 John Street standing out as highlights. In Hampton, 72 Teddington Rd has put on a big show, with lots and lots of lights to delight!

Turning to Highett, 3 Dalmont Street has received praise for the residents’ themed displays, with their 2009 ‘Frozen in Time’ effort still the talk of the town at Christmas time.

Located near Elwood? 42 Hodder Street in Brighton East is said to be getting more competitive every year, as the neighbours also deck out their property’s facades. There’s nothing wrong with a little healthy competition if it puts a smile on people’s faces, right?

If you live near C&G’s Port Melbourne office, 319 Princes Street is said to feature some great moving lights, mixed in with colossal inflatables and interactive displays. If you’re driving around, it’s also worth checking to see whether CityLink have decked out the Bolte Bridge again this year.
