Been mourning the loss of the QVM Winter night market? Fear not. The prequel to the summer instalment - Night Noodle Markets - kicks off from 12th-29th November, so you can get your fix of food truckin’ goodness sooner than you imagined. C&G have sniffed out the best of the offering so you can fast track to the nearest truck feed!
Noodles. At Night. In Spring. What’s not to love?! Lining the banks of the Yarra at Birrarung Marr, the Night Noodle Markets are back, with more stalls than ever, three bars and an exclusive VIP dining area. With old favourites and new faces, it’s your go-to for quick and easy evening eats – and there’s more than just noodles!
The Lady Carolina pop up will be serving up tasty Peruvian Japanese fusion delights, created by guest chef Diego Munoz. Be sure to fill up on the delicious wok fried Mount Zero quinoa chifa with tamarind , snow pea tendrils & asparagus. Familiar faces Hoy Pinoy, Wonderbao and Longrain will be taking pride of place, and stop by the Din Tai Fung stand to try their exciting new flavour combos.
New kid on the block this year Hawker Hall joins the noodle markets alongside sister venues Kong and Chin Chin. Get stuck in to their beef rendang and fiery chicken and siracca bun.
Need to cool off on these balmy nights? Gelato Messina will be rocking in to join in the action, as well as N2 Extreme Gelato. Save some room for their Ferrero Reveal pud - chocolate hazelnut gelato with hazelnuts and rice bubbles, topped with a rice bubble choc top, finished with a warm choc ganache syringe. Not an ice cream queen? Try Waffle on a Stick. Quite literally what it says on the tin, get yourself a waffle, on a stick, with maple and berries. Win!
