International Women’s Day: Let’s #PaintItPurple

Each year, the global community comes together to support International Woman’s Day: an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women whilst calling for gender equality. This year on March the 8th, Melbourne will be #paintingitpurple, showing off our city of letters in a fine shade of suffragette purple. Get ready to celebrate and plan for a future of gender equality, fuelled by C&G’s purple pick of International Women’s Day events.


Light Up A Life Cocktail Party 

Supported by Chisholm & Gamon, the annual Light Up A Life cocktail party will be held at Encore, the St Kilda Sea Baths on the 19th of March. A glittering annual event with a heart of gold, the Light Up A Life cocktail party is an annual fundraiser for the Sacred Heart Mission Women’s House which supports women who are experiencing homelessness and social exclusion within our community. Expect champagne, great networking, a charity auction and entertainment from the likes of Jo Stanley, Phil Ceberano and the Sole Rock Super Band. International Women’s Day Gala Dinner

Join women from across Melbourne at the illustrious 2015 International Women’s Day Gala dinner held at the Crown Palladium Entertainment Complex. This event is designed specifically to celebrate the achievements of women in public service, sharing journeys of success from ladies in leadership. This year’s event features renowned guest speakers including media mogul Anne Summers, in addition an extravagant dinner. Miss Muddy Melbourne
