Chisholm and Gamon would like to bring your attention to The Sustainable Living Festival 2014! Running from the 8th until the 23rd of February, this is a festival which raises awareness and offers tools for change by showcasing principal solutions to the ecological and social challenges we face. Why not check it out? Who knows, you may just be inspired.

Boasting the title of Australia’s oldest and largest sustainability festival, SLF attracts over 150,000 visitors each year, and has expanded its impressive program for 2014. The Festival teams up with hundreds of organisations and individuals across Victoria, inviting and encouraging them to host and raise awareness about sustainability events. Such events include:

  • Community gardening
  • Sustainable house tours
  • Swap meets
  • Conservation activities
  • Skill shares
  • DIY workshops

From the 14th until the 16th of February, The Festival’s Big Weekend event will be held in the heart of Melbourne at renowned Federation Square. Here the festival will continue to celebrate and promote the finest examples of ecological and social sustainability. The event will incorporate interactive workshops, talks, demonstrations, artworks, exhibits, films and live performances. Everyone is invited to join in the fun and increase the uptake of sustainable living.

Green means GO! So get on down to the Green Market (Australia’s largest sustainability exhibition) and check out over 100 exhibitors, including some of Australia’s finest organic beer and wine, mountains of delicious food, gardening businesses, building options, ethical clothing and environmental campaign groups. Green Magazine and Treadlie will also be there with yet another awesome bike market, including bike accessories and a track to test ride.
