Pets are People too

Who doesn’t love their pets? This collaboration between Bayside Gallery and Arts Project Australia showcases some adorable works from Australian artists Catherine Bell, Matthew Gove, Anastasia Klose, Bronwyn Hack, Kate James, Noel McKenna, Tim McMonagle, Kathy Temin and Jenny Watson. It celebrates the wonderful creatures that we hold so close to our hearts, reflecting on how they enrich our lives with humour and pathos. The kids will enjoy the Great Art Detectives activity, where you can search for clues in this exhibition and win an exclusive badge! These are free events and available until October 6!

Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition

The Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition is returning for its 19th year to the Bayside City Council Corporate Centre in Sandringham. There are over 100 art pieces from young people in the community, all aspiring towards the theme of youthful connection through art. This forms part of a competition with a judging panel but Baysiders can attend at their own leisure and enjoy the artworks. This is also a free event and available until October 15.

The Big Draw Festival

On Saturday 19 October we will be celebrating the world’s biggest drawing celebration, the Big Draw Festival! Book your tickets to this incredibly popular workshop, where you will be working around this year’s theme #drawntolife. It will focus on how creativity and self-expression can lead to improved wellbeing and mental health. The event is free but spots can fill up quickly so don’t forget to book!
