C&G’s Guide to Dine With Heart Month & Gala Dinner

Tips & Advice

Chisholm & Gamon have supported Dine With Heart Month since its inception five years ago, and have been long standing sponsors of the Sacred Heart Mission. We encourage you to get involved by dining out across Melbourne this May. Whether you attend a fundraiser, add a donation to your bill or eat and drink at participating venues throughout the campaign, every little bit makes a difference. In the latest C&G blog, we unpack everything about Dine With Heart Month and give details on how you can get involved.

Whether you’re out dining with mates at a participating Dine with Heart restaurant or invite your friends over for a dinner party, every $4.00 you raise can provide a nutritious meal for someone in need. This year, Sacred Heart needs to raise $730,000 to maintain and keep their dining hall open. The Sacred Heart Dining Hall serves and provides 400 meals daily and is open 365 days a year for people in the community experiencing social isolation and disadvantage.

One way you can get involved with Dine With Heart is by attending the opening night gala fundraising dinner held on the stage of the iconic Palais Theatre in St Kilda on Wednesday 1 May 2019. Including a four-course menu prepared by an ensemble of Melbourne’s top chefs (Bombo, Uncle, Embla, Rumi, Smith & Daughters, just to name-drop a few), you can buy single tickets or a table to support this incredible cause while enjoying a fun-filled night out. A spectacular evening featuring fine-dining and live entertainment, a rowdy auction performed by C&G’s very own Torsten Kasper and Sam Gamon, will have you bidding and raising your paddles high to the skies!

Alternatively, joining a participating venue for food or drinks throughout the month also goes a long way in helping those in need. Keep in touch for the announcement of participating restaurants via the Scared Heart website.

You can also get involved at your schoolworkplace or even at home. The website is packed with tips on how to make your meals count this May. For more information on Sacred Heart and the Gala Fundraising Dinner, please visit the Sacred Heart website here.
