Chocolate-coated faces, missing bunny tails and hot cross bun tummy aches - it’s the Easter long weekend everyone! With C&G predicting loads of fun activities happening in Bayside this long weekend, we unpack the best Easter egg treasure hunts, events and celebrations for the whole family to enjoy. Here’s to a hoppy long weekend!

1.   The Espy - St Kilda

Famous for nights dancing to aussie local bands and throwing back bevies after the footy – you’d be surprised to know The Espy puts on an eventful school holiday program. This Thursday, The Espy is hosting a kids comedy and Easter egg hunt kicking off from 10am. Whether you fancy a game of giant-sized Jenga or have your face-painted as a clever lil’ bunny, hang around for a kid-friendly brunch.

2.   Cranbourne Turf Club – Cranbourne

The Melbourne Easter Show at Cranbourne Turf Club brings an Easter-themed carnival to Bayside for the whole long weekend (19-22 April 10am - 9pm daily). Expect a fun-filled day (or days!) of children’s activities, roving carnival entertainers, amusement rides and rollercoasters, a 4-day Easter egg hunt with 50,000 choccy eggs, monster truck battles and much more. Just forget a showbag on the way home!

3.   Rippon Lea House & Garden – Elsternwick

For an Easter egg hunt worthy of high-tea and scones afterwards, Rippon Lea House & Garden are hosting their annual egg hunt event. Bring the family, pack a picnic and relax on the grounds of this historic manor. With fairground rides, bouncy castles and the mansion open to explore – you’ll even get to the change to meet some Easter bunnies throughout the day. Remember to buy tickets prior.

4.   Luna Park – St Kilda

If you’re more a ‘go big or go home’ person, you wouldn’t give up to chance to attend the Great Luna Park Easter Egg Hunt. A classic Bayside event you can expect over 30,000 Chocolatier eggs hidden in the park over both Saturday and Sunday from 12:30am – 3:15pm. The hunt is free when your buy unlimited ride tickets. You’ll be left with egg on your face – if you don’t attend!

5.   The Big Goose – Mornington Peninsula

Not attending The Big Goose Easter Scramble will make you feel like a big Goose. Located at the Mornington Peninsula, this is where Bayside kids go egg hunting from the 19-22 April. With unicorn rides, face painting and Easter activities, if you find the special golden egg expect a surprise prize. Plus, the Easter bunny is set to make an appearance.
