It’s that time of the year again – Winter school holidays! In today’s C&G blog, we share our favourite picks for the winter school break to keep the kids entertained, and you relaxed! Luckily, there is a wide variety of activities to select from during the holidays. Whatever your child’s interests - from art workshops, to cooking classes and puppet shows – we have you covered!

 

Kids Handmade Book Workshop

 

Michelle Zuccolo - an artist with over 30 years’ experience - is running a children’s bookmaking workshop on the 30th of June. It’s the perfect way for your child to kick off the school holidays with some arts and crafts! All materials are provided but you must book to secure a spot. Tech School Holiday Programs

 

Suitable for kids aged between 5 to 14 years of age, these accessible technology courses offer a kick-start to understanding coding and Minecraft in the shape of a rewarding learning experience. It’s an opportunity for children to have fun and interact with their peers whilst learning on their break. More information here.

 

Foost Cooking Classes

 

Bring the kids down to Brighton Library on the 4th of July for a cooking adventure suited to those aged 5 - 11. Participants will be cooking up a storm with fresh and colourful ingredients, each leaving with something to share at home. The menu features koala crackers, echidna fruit and bug fruit snacks – yum! Get you little chef booked into this one!

 

Shadow Puppet Show

 

Puppetry is a fun and engaging way to keep children entertained whilst enhancing their imagination these school holidays! Pack up your torch and head down to the puppet theatre at Hampton Library on the 6th of July for two back-to-back puppet shows. Booking available here.
