Peaceful serenity, stunning Port Phillip Bay views and all under an hour from the city – say hello to Mount Martha. Home to some fantastic real estate, ideal for holiday homes, investments, retirement or just a lifestyle shift, Mount Martha attracts thousands of visitors from across the globe, each seeking to experience this unique Bayside adventure. So, what’s kickin’ in Mount Martha?

1. Mount Martha Cliff Top Walk

Imagine waking up on a Saturday morning and stepping outside for a refreshing walk along the stunning coastline. Take in the views of Port Phillip Bay, look back to the busy city you’ve left behind and take the boardwalk steps down to the beach. Enjoy a relaxing coffee or brunch at one of the area’s best coffee shops: Franklin Coffee, Milkbar & Co or Mr Curtis

2. The Beaches

Each of Mount Martha’s four beaches offers amazing views from wherever you decide to pitch up – so there’s no competition there. Dava, Birdrock, Cragie and Hawker are each their own stretch of sand, and you’re sure to find a spot to make your weekly ‘me time’ location. For something a bit different, tick Fossil Beach off your list – home to plenty of interesting fossil deposits, while The Mount Martha Pillars frequent travellers’ must-see lists – a secluded cliff beach said to be Melbourne’s best kept secret.

3. Mount Martha Golf Course

Mornington Peninsula is known for being home to some of the best golf courses in the world. Whether you consider yourself a master of the fairway or whether your handicap is off the charts, a round at Mount Martha Golf Course is a must-do. If nothing else, the views make a great Instagram shot.

4. Briars Market

If you’re a newly established Mount Martha local, pay a visit to the Briars Market every Tuesday afternoon. It’s your chance to buy local and support local farmers and take in the stunning scenery.

5. Explore the Peninsula Wineries

In Mount Martha, you’re right in the heart of Victoria’s wine region. Barrymore Estate and Dromana Estate are probably the closest to you, specialising in Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Explore the rest of the area, too, taking a trip to Portsea, Sorrento and Red Hill for some other world famous wines.
