C&G’s Guide to FebFast

Local Community

Pause for a Cause is the name of the game this February, with febfast encouraging Australians to give something up to raise money for our country’s disadvantaged youth. In today’s blog, C&G explains how to get involved, and how resisting your favourite treats or giving up your bad habits can change lives.

FebFast is a nationwide initiative for Australians to give up something they love for 28 days. As the country’s flagship fundraiser for disadvantaged young people, febfast raises money for those facing mental health issues, abuse, neglect, addiction and homelessness by encouraging participants to get sponsored for their ‘fasts’.

What Can I Give Up for febfast?

You can give up anything you like. Whether you want to detox after a sugar-fuelled Christmas and give up your favourite sugary treats and alcoholic drinks, or kick a habit like smoking, scrolling on your phone, or watching TV – you can with febfast. Whatever you choose to pause, your involvement and sponsors will help change the lives of those facing unimaginable struggles.

Where Can I Get Help?

Try signing up as a team! Collective willpower is often the difference between success and failure. The febfast website has plenty of resources from recipes to interviews with fellow febfast-ers – you’re certainly not alone in your pursuit of helping others and giving up your naughty habits.
