C&G’s Guide To The 5 Best Bayside Brunches

Local Community

Whether it’s a post-Pilates refuel or a sunny Sunday brekky you’re after, Bayside has some of the best brunch spots in Melbourne! Here’s C&G’s guide to five of our favourite spots:

Brighton Schoolhouse

Remember when the best part of your school day was lunchtime? Well, at Brighton Schoolhouse it’s always lunchtime! In its super-central location of St Andrews Road, Brighton Schoolhouse serves breakfast all day and a delicious lunch selection from noon. Think superfood smoothies, waffles, fresh salads and eggs any way you like.

The Stables of Como

Saturday brunch meets summer garden party at the picturesque Stables of Como in South Yarra. With a café menu of brunch classics with a contemporary twist, prepare for decadence in the form of warm banana bread with stone fruit compote and maple mascarpone or hearty triple cheese toast. Complete with opulent garden surrounds for a post-waffle wander, this southside brunch eatery is a cut above the rest.

The Parlor Milkbar and Kitchen

A little further down the Bay in the heart of Beaumaris, you’ll find The Parlour. The perfect place to brunch with the whole family, The Parlour kids’ breakfast and lunch menus will satisfy even the fussiest eaters, while the friendly service will start your day right.

The Little Elephant

The Little Elephant on Spring Road is Highett’s answer to all of your brekky cravings. This beauty has the buzz of an inner-city cafe while retaining that Bayside charm, and delicious coffee to put some pep in your step.

Cornerstone & Co.

Another Hampton treasure, Ludstone Street’s Cornerstone & Co has that Instagram-worthy interior you can’t resist snapping. Offering brunch classics with hints of Japanese flavours, it’s all your favourites with a difference. Our pick has to be the Bircher muesli with green-tea poached peach, passionfruit yoghurt, shaved blood orange granite and goji berries. Yum!
