C&G’s Guide to the Elwood Community Bushfire Appeal
Our hearts are going out to the countless victims affected by the recent bushfire crisis happening across Australia. The team at C&G are truly saddened by the catastrophic impact it has created on Australian forests and wildlife as well. However, at times like these it is amazing to see so many Australians band together and contribute what they can. We are proud to announce we will be participating in the Elwood Village Traders and Bendigo Bank Bushfire Disaster Appeal on the 23rd of January. Come down to Elwood Village on Ormond Road for lots of community love – we hope to see you there!
On the 23rd of January from 4pm, the generous retailers at Elwood Village will be hosting in-store events and extending their trading hours to raise money for the Bendigo Bank Bushfire Disaster Appeal. Here are some of the activities on offer:
Raffles
Flight Centre and Casper Studios are swapping raffle tickets for $5 donations, with the chance to win flight vouchers and holiday hamper packs.
Food and Drink
Enjoy your meal knowing your purchases will be donated to a good cause. Plain Sailing’s coffee cart will contribute all coffee sales to the charity fund and Blue Tongue will have an extended happy hour with all funds being donated. The full list of good deeds can be found here.
Shopping
The wonderful shops at Elwood Village will be donating portions of their sales directly to the appeal. Have a look at the offers here and shop local for a good cause!

Do you conveniently need a haircut or want to try a circuit class? You can do both and know your money will be donated to the appeal! The full list can be viewed here.
It is easy to feel helpless when we’re not directly affected and are fortunate enough to live outside the impacted areas. Bendigo Bank acts as a formal channel through which the public can donate money. The appeal focuses on recently devastated areas in East Gippsland and North East Victoria, providing practical relief and recovery.
