C&G's Guide to the Heart of St Kilda Concert

Local Community, Tips & Advice

It’s that time of year again! The Sacred Heart Mission has announced a stellar line-up for the annual Heart of St Kilda Concert, raising vital funds for Melbourne’s homeless. In today’s blog, C&G reveal this year’s highlights and how you can get involved.

Chisholm & Gamon have proudly sponsored the Sacred Heart Mission for many years, and now the Heart of St Kilda Concert will celebrate its 10th anniversary. An exciting feature in Melbourne’s music and comedy calendar, the annual event supports the work of Sacred Heart and raises the funds required to provide 400 meals daily to those in need.

This year’s concert will take place on November 28 at the iconic Palais Theatre, and showcase performers like Leo Sayer, Courtney Barnett, Jimeoin and James Reyne. With even more additions to this dazzling lineup to come, grab your tickets now before it’s too late. Proceeds from the event contribute towards the Sacred Heart Mission’s work with those experiencing homelessness and social isolation.

C&G continue to support the mission all year round, and have raised thousands of dollars from raffle prizes and staff support across all Sacred Heart events. The recent Dine with the Champions event saw C&G raise over $65,000, which is more half of the required funds required for the Kick Start program run by Sacred Heart. The Kick Start program helps homeless individuals make a connection with health, wellbeing and fitness, assisting them in interacting with the community and rebuilding their lives.

With an estimated 105,000 people experiencing homelessness in Australia, the work of charities like this is essential. Homelessness often results from issues with substance abuse, mental health, family estrangement, social isolation and marginalisation and is often a poorly understood problem. Many don’t know how they can help, but simply getting involved in events like this makes all the difference.
