Fortunately, with many events being hosted online we are still able to enjoy some safe and socially distanced fun. Spring Online School Holiday Activities

School holidays are looking a little different this year, but it doesn’t mean they’re not entertaining! Bayside City Council have rounded up some creative and delicious activities you can achieve from the comfort of your couch. A number of Zoom sessions will be hosted by the council’s Youth Workers, and teach you to create Macrame Feathers and Zentangles! If you’re feeling peckish, cake baking and pizza scrolls are on the menu!

Greenworld

Greenworld is Bayside Gallery’s latest exhibition, exploring the relationship between people and their natural surroundings. These gorgeous works can be viewed online for free, and you can also try your hand at this virtual jigsaw puzzle!

The Greenworld School Holiday Program is also up and running, featuring a Great Art Nature Detective scavenger hunt for the whole family to enjoy on their next exercise adventure. If you’re feeling creative, check out Teelah George’s Sky Piece and be inspired to create your own version of the sky!

Paper and Tape Escape

Join Polyglot Theatre artists Lachlan MacLeod and Afsaneh Torabi and transform your home into a paper haven. Learn to build cute creatures and colourful costumes from the world-renowned theatre company! This free workshop is great for kids aged 5-12, and will be running on the 23rd and 24th of September. Spooky Spoonville

October is looming, and the Friends of Black Rock House never disappoint when it comes to spooky Octoberween activities! From the 3rd of October, Spooky Spoonville will be taking over the Black Rock House cemetery and welcoming all kinds of ghouly spoons. It’s not too early to start getting creative and let your imagination run wild. All the details can be found here!
