That’s right, November will bring style, class and culture with Melbourne’s prestigious Spring Racing Carnival. This latest C&G blog highlights the four big days so you stay on track with the exclusive races and musical line-up! Saturday 2 November
Kick off Spring Racing Week with the ever so prestigious AAMI Victoria Derby Day. The gates will open at 8:30am with the main (or mane) event at 3:45pm. Ladies will be dressed head to toe in classic monochrome fashion while the gentlemen can don their best top hats. The Myer Fashions on the Field competition will be in full swing, so make sure you’re dressed to impress! Afternoons can be spent enjoying an open-air concert featuring Australian bands Lime Cordiale and Ball Park Music.
Tuesday 5 November
Save your best outfit for the Lexus Melbourne Cup Day, a true Australian cultural icon. Featuring ‘the race that stops a nation,’ this exclusive event will showcase high culture, extravagant fashion and the trendiest eateries. You also won’t want to miss special performances from Birds of Tokyo and Owl Eyes!
Thursday 7 November
Beauty and femininity will be gracing the fields on Kennedy Oaks Day, especially with the crowning of the Myer Fashions on the Field Women’s Racewear winner! The music line-up for this stylish event will feature indie royalty The Jungle Giants and Dean Lewis.
Saturday 9 November
Last but not least, the Seppelt Wines Stakes Day will adopt a more relaxing vibe perfect for a family-friendly day out. Young trendsetters can participate with Stakes Day Fashions on the Field and party at the Kids Disco and Karaoke Party. There are also games, jumping castles, inflatable obstacle courses and face painting at the Kids Zone in the Nursery. Young Franco and Kian will also be playing so keep an eye out on performance times!
