Who’s ready to help Elizabeth II celebrate her 90th birthday? As Australia is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, we’re under the reign of the monarchy - which means we get to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday with a long weekend from June 11th to June 13th. Mind Body Spirit Festival

It’s the nation’s biggest health and wellbeing event, and it takes place from Friday June 10 until Monday June 13. Running from 10am to 7pm daily, the weekend’s events will include psychic readings, stage performances, meditation sessions, stalls and onsite health food catering. It’s also easily accessible, being located at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Clarendon Street. 

St Kilda Esplanade Market

You can’t miss the colourful tents of the St Kilda Esplanade Market lined up along the Upper Esplanade every Sunday, right beside Luna Park. Since 1970, the markets have showcased the work of Melbourne’s best artists and makers, in an open-air event by the ocean. Discover handmade fashion, paintings, candles, food, jewellery and more from 10am to 4pm every Sunday. This long weekend is no exception. 

Mornington Winter Jazz Festival

Are you ready for a weekend of world-class jazz and blues by the ocean? The streets, cafes and bars of Mornington are set to ring out with a diverse line-up of grooves for the fourth annual Mornington Winter Jazz Festival. Get jazzy with a great line-up of artists including multi-ARIA nominee Frank Bennett, Vince Jones, local band Wilson & White and Soul Sacrifice (Melbourne’s best Santana cover band), plus many more. Long Weekend at Luna Park

St Kilda’s Luna Park will also be open through to Monday, June 13 from 11am. The iconic fun park is a great day out for the whole family! If you’ve got relatives visiting from out of town, the Scenic Railway Roller Coaster is a great opportunity to show them a spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay

Stamp and Coin Fair

Oak Hill Gallery will be exhibiting a figure drawing and painting collection of works nominated for the Richard Riordan Prize at the gallery’s Stamp and Coin fair this long weekend. Recent works by the Mornington Peninsula Painting and Drawing Group will be available for purchase, with the gallery open from 9am on Monday, June 13.
