Take in the gorgeous skyline views from Hawthorn from this iconic cinema’s rooftop. Back for its fourth year, Lido on the Roof showcases new releases such as Bohemian Rhapsody and features favourites such as classic Disney movies for the whole family. With craft beers, vegan-friendly popcorn and other snacks available, there’s no need to BYO snacks if you go straight from work!

Southsiders! Barefoot Cinema returns for another fantastic season of fun films to be enjoyed in the great outdoors. Barefoot Cinema kicks off in the picturesque grounds of Portsea at Point Nepean National Park (Dec 26-Jan 8) before moving to The Briars Homestead in Mount Martha (Jan 11-27) and ending its season at Elsternwick's Rippon Lea Estate (Jan 31-Feb 16). Showcasing a variety of films such as Mamma Mia! and Crazy Rich Asians, there’s bound to be a film to keep you entertained. Barefoot Cinemas also offer early-bird discount tickets, so it pays to be organised ahead of time.

With gorgeous views and clear starry nights (fingers crossed!), bring the family and your picnic blankets and settle in for an entertaining evening. With a variety of food trucks on hand to satiate your snacking needs, you are welcome to BYO food and drinks as well.
