This Sunday the 8th of May is Mother’s Day! While it’s important to make our Mums, Grandmas, Aunties and mother figures feel special every day, Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to really show our love and appreciation. Whether your mum loves the great outdoors, being pampered or giving back to the community, you’re guaranteed to find the perfect way to spoil her right here in Bayside! Mother’s Day High Tea at Blackrock House

The most classic Mother’s Day celebration in a truly classic setting. Enjoy an array of hot and cold savoury delights and delectable desserts inside Tamar’s Tea Room at the iconic heritage listed beach house. You’ll also be treated to live music and the option to take in a Black Rock House tour from one of the costumed volunteer guides!

Mother’s Day Big Brekkie at Lyle Anderson Reserve

Bayside City Council and the fabulous Autumn Bayside Festival have your Mother’s Day breakfast sorted! Head to the barbeque area at Lyle Anderson Reserve in Highett with your picnic blankets and camping chairs in tow and enjoy the community cook-up. There will also be lots of activities to keep the little ones entertained, and roving entertainers throughout the day!

Mother's Day High Tea at Rippon Lea Reserve

What better way to start the day than with a glass of bubbles on arrival? That’s exactly what you can expect from the Mother’s Day High Tea experience at Rippon Lea Estate! Your freshly baked treats will be accompanied by bottomless tea and coffee, and you’ll also be able to purchase beer and wine. The best part? The views! The stunning gardens at Rippon Lea Estate are well worth the price of admission on their own. Your ticket gets you full access to the gardens if you wish to take a picturesque stroll following your lunch. There’s even a children’s high tea which includes a mini high tea and bottomless hot chocolate! The team is more than happy to meet your dietary requirements but be sure to notify them ahead of time to avoid any confusion on the day.

Make A Mother’s Day with a donation.to St Kilda Mums

If your Mum's the generous type, why not make a donation in her name to St Kilda Mums? There are a few different ways that you can help. A financial donation of $50 will help provide support to someone at potential risk of domestic violence and/or homelessness. You can also put together a gift pack to donate! The charity is asking for toiletries bags containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, hair ties, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tampons/pads, sunscreen, body and face moisturiser, cleanser, tissues, and deodorant. Items can be dropped off to the St Kilda Mum’s office in Clayton - be sure to include a note of support to go along with your generous gift and share a photo on social media with the special hashtag #makeamothersday
