QUICK 5 IN BAYSIDE - with Sam Gamon

This week, Chisholm & Gamon are bringing you another behind-the-scenes interview - this time with our very own Director and Auctioneer Sam Gamon! We caught up with him this week, to talk about what it’s like working at C&G - and his favourite places to spend time around our beautiful bay!

Chisholm & Gamon: Hi Sam! Can you tell us a little about your role with C+G?

Sam: I’ve been at Chisholm & Gamon for twenty-two years. In that time, I’ve been a focused sales agent, and since 2002 - an auctioneer. I also help mentor our team, and provide support & training. I’ve been involved with many charity auctions and local community events. Ultimately, my primary role is to list and sell property - but for me, it’s also about the people, culture and being part of a local village!

C&G: What do you love most about bayside Melbourne?

S: What’s not to love?! Beaches, great places to walk, swimming (practice for the ‘pier to pub’ race in Lorne), restaurants, the village atmosphere, the friendly people with a great community spirit!

C&G: What do you love most about working with Chisholm & Gamon?

S: Everything! My team mates, my clients, repeat business, conducting auctions, helping people with important transactions, the friendships I’ve built and nurtured over a long time.

C&G: What do you like doing when you're not at work?

Cooking! Gym, walking, swimming, and catching up with friends!

C&G: What’s your favourite spot in the City of Port Phillip/Bayside?

S: So many to choose from! St Kilda Botanical Gardens, Elsternwick Park, and the foreshore. The Farmer’s market at Elwood Primary & the Peanut Farm. Elwood Bathers, Blue Tongue, Repeat Offender, Plain Sailing, Donavan’s, Stokehouse, Di Stasio, Mahjong, Mya Tiger, Ichi Ni, Figo, Cucina & Co, The Espy, Village Belle, Hotel Brighton, Trinity, The Grosvenor… There are just too many to list!
